news.astraweb.com - Signup with us
And probably my final post of the day, this is the best deal I've found on Usenet service (I'm using it myself!). It is only available for a limited time (they do not specify how long or when it expires). Hurry and read about it and sign up! By the way, this site does not have an affiliate program yet, so they aren't paying me to hype it up. I just really like them :)

And just to be clear, this link helps define what Usenet is, in case I didn't explain it well enough before. Hope this helps some of you!

NZBsRus.com - Usenet Newsgroup NZB File Search Service

NZBsRus.com - Usenet Newsgroup NZB File Search Service
Just in case you are a more advanced user, this is a very helpful service to you! It will allow you to download a file that will have all the necessary information for your newsreader to get a specific set of files from usenet. Basically, it allow you a quick start at using usenet if you are used to bittorrents or other p2p programs. I'll go into more detail later on this but suffice to say this is a site worth checking out. It allows limited free use, but they have an offer of lifetime vip access if you hurry! Good Luck!

MPA Set to Challenge Newzbin Usenet Indexer in Court | TorrentFreak

I wouldn't let this frighten you if you were just getting started into the usenet  world. I don't see the MPA  winning this (of course, I don't think the Pirate Bay case should have gone the way it did either). Nothing that Newzbin does is illegal as far as I can tell (if so, then a lot of companies are in trouble, especially Google!). One benefit of usenet, though, is that it's hard to track downloaders. Uploaders can also disguise themselves if they want to as well.

MyLot.com

I found this site about a week ago. It's many things (another blogging site, a forum, a pay to post site, etc.). I can't explain it well, so just check it out!

If you use FireFox, read this.

I found this page on another blog I was reading and I wanted to share it with you just in case you use FireFox. I used mose to these "hacks" and they made FireFox (and other Mozilla based browsers like Opera, K-meleon) a whole lot faster. They may seem intimidating, but they aren't that bad and they make a real difference. Read the steps carefully, though. I don't recommend the trace monkey hack. It seems risky. Later!

30 Day Challenge

Just added my twitter feed and I thought I'd let you know what it was about, so here's a link. I'm doing this blog because I'm passionate about the subject (I would like to make money on it, but I'm not expecting that). But the 30 day challenge is about making your first $10 online (which I never did because I stopped). They give very good details on how to do this and they update it each year. Once you have passed the 30 day challenge, you'll understand what else they can teach you (how to make even more on the web). I'm looking forward to trying again, because my head hurts from reading about all the myriad ways of making money on the web (just google home based business for starters). I've found some ways of making a little money (more like pennies) that might be easy (and yes sometime even hard!). And so far I've only managed to lose inbox space and not money from all the schemes I've read about (like cash gifting! ILLEGAL!). I hope if you are reading this and thinking I'd like to make money online, then be careful. I think the general rule for most of these things is "a fool and his money are soon parted". The 30 day challenge is free and I believe all the tools and techniques are free, too (but don't quote me on that). Go check it out!
